Edoardo Simeone

Edoardo Simeone è un Compositore, Direttore Musicale, Pianista e Tastierista.

Ha conseguito un Master of Arts in “Professional Media Composition” presso l’Università di Chichester (UK), dove ha studiato con Guy Michelmore (Marvel, BBC), Chris McGuire (BAFTA award) e Tim Johnson (Sky, Microsoft). Nel 2008 si diploma, inoltre, in Pianoforte e Tastiere presso la Percentomusica di Roma e nel 2009 consegue con lode la Laurea in Scienze Politiche presso l’Università Roma Tre.

La sua attività negli ultimi anni si è svolta principalmente a teatro: dal 2017 occupa infatti il ruolo di Direttore Musicale, Compositore e Pianista per gli spettacoli “Gran Follia”, “Femmina”, “La Presidente”, “Morgana Vs Tutti”, “Morgana Vs Tutti-Bis”, “Se La Panchina Parlasse” scritti e diretti da Pier Francesco Pingitore: alcuni di questi, inoltre, sono stati successivamente adattati e trasmessi sulle reti Mediaset .

Nel periodo 2008-2020 ha anche ricoperto il ruolo di Direttore Musicale e Pianista per tutte le produzioni del Micca Club, con oltre mille repliche all’attivo: tra i vari spettacoli ricordiamo “Diva”, “Velvet Cabaret”, “Lunedì al Burlesque Cafè”, “Burlesque Club”, “Swinglesque”, “1920”, “Lost Vegas” (Teatro Salone Margherita- Roma). Durante questo periodo ha avuto modo di esibirsi con Brian Newman (Lady Gaga, tony Bennet), Ken Ard (Chicago, Cats), Armitage Shanks (Circus Contraptions).

Ha inoltre composto, arrangiato e diretto musiche per numerosi altri spettacoli teatrali, tra cui: “Villains” (regia M. Tarasco), “Il Flauto Magico” (M. Tarasco)”,“Il Paese di chi se ne va” (Muoio), “Generali a Merenda”(Avagliano), “Na Vorta c’era Roma” (E.S. Ricci).

Come Musical Director e Pianista attualmente collabora con la società americana di grandi eventi Elan Artists, con la quale ha avuto la possibilità di esibirsi, oltre che sul territorio nazionale, in numerosi paesi esteri.

Come Media Composer ha invece all’attivo diversi cortometraggi (uno dei quali, “Into the Cloud”, ha vinto il premio miglior colonna sonora al “48 Lucca Festival 2019”), pubblicità radiofoniche e cinematografiche, trailer e corporate videos e ha partecipato anche ad alcuni feature film internazionali. Recentemente ha collaborato, inoltre, con l’etichetta inglese Strophic Music per la realizzazione di album di production music.

Come Insegnante ha tenuto i corsi di “Music Notation”, “Aural Perception”, “Applied Music Theory”, “Notation and Transcription”, “Composing to a Brief” e “Live Arrangement Skills” per il Bachelor of Art in “Music Performance” presso la Sonus Factory di Roma, oltre ad essere autore di tre libri riguardanti la Teoria Musicale.

Edoardo Simeone is a Composer, Musical Director, Pianist and Keyboardist.

He holds a Master of Arts in “Professional Media Composition” (Chichester University) and he had the opportunity to study with Guy Michelmore (Marvel, BBC), Chris McGuire (BAFTA award) and Tim Johnson (Sky, Microsoft). In 2008 he graduated in Popular Piano and Keyboard from Percentomusica academy end in 2009 he obtained the Bachelor Degree in political Sciences from Roma Tre University.

In the last few years his activity has been mainly focused on theatre: from 2017 he has been Musical Director, Composer and Pianist for the shows “Gran Follia”, “Femmina”, “La Presidente”, “Morgana Vs Tutti”, “Morgana Vs Tutti-Bis”, “Se La Panchina Parlasse” written and directed by Pier Francesco Pingitore: some of those were successively aired on Italian National Television.

During the period 2008-2020 he has been MD and Pianist for the theatre company “Micca Club”, playing in more than a thousand concerts: among the various productions he played in “Diva”, “Velvet Cabaret”, “Lunedì al Burlesque Cafè”, “Burlesque Club”, “Swinglesque”, “1920”, “Lost Vegas” (Teatro Salone Margherita- Roma). During those years he also had the opportunity to perform with great musicians, such as Brian Newman (Lady Gaga, tony Bennet), Ken Ard (Chicago, Cats), Armitage Shanks (Circus Contraptions).

He furthermore composed, arranged and directed music for numerous other plays like, for example, “Villains” (regia M. Tarasco), “Il Flauto Magico” (M. Tarasco)”,“Il Paese di chi se ne va” (Muoio), “Generali a Merenda”(Avagliano), “Na Vorta c’era Roma” (E.S. Ricci).

As a MD and Keyboardist he currently works for the American company Elan Artists, performing both in Italy and abroad.

As a Media Composer he did several short movies (one of those, “Into the Cloud”, was also awarded the prize as best soundtrack in the Lucca 48 Festival in 2019), radio and cinematic adverts, trailer and corporate videos, working also as additional composer for a few international feature films. He has also recently worked with the English publisher Strophic Music on the release of production music albums.

As a Teacher he has held the “Music Notation”, “Aural Perception”, “Applied Music Theory”, “Notation and Transcription”, “Composing to a Brief” and “Live Arrangement Skills” units for the Bachelor of Art in “Music Performance” at Sonus Factory in Rome; he wrote, also, three books regarding Music Theory.
